Our Services
Our Services
Birds | Providing proper medical care for birds requires specialized training and skills. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatment of birds. Our staff veterinarians can advise you as to the dietary, maintenance, hygiene and medical needs of your feathered friend. |
Blood Transfusion | We maintain a supply of fresh frozen plasma for all types of pets in case of emergency. We also have access to whole blood collection and transfusion, if needed. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners, and all blood is carefully screened for disease. |
Emergency and Critical Care | In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center. |
Boarding - Dogs, Cats, and Birds | Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care, and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. |
Dental Care | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Advanced dental care is available, including full mouth extractions, mandibular fracture or luxation repair, and oral surgery. Our hospital provides the most modern anesthesia and monitoring available. We also have digital dental radiography for evaluation of subgingival disease. |
Hospice / Euthanasia Services | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. |
Immunization and Wellness Care | We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages. |
Internal Medicine | We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic surgery, Oncology and Endocrinology; among others. |
Lasers | Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal. Laser procedures result in less pain; less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort. |
Microchipping | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. |
Nutritional Counseling | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. |
Oncology (Cancer Therapy) | We pride ourselves on exploring progressive and practical options for you, your family, and your companion pet. With the close network of consultant oncologists and veterinarians, we provide modern therapies for cancer (oncology). These treatments may include surgery, supportive care, and chemotherapy. Each type of cancer has a different (biologic) behavior and has specific treatment issues/concerns. Some of the cancers we treat include lymphoma, osteosarcoma, oral cancers, mast cell tumors, sarcomas, myeloma, carcinoma, and others. |
Pain Management | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
Fully Stocked Pharmacy | We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. |
Radiology | Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. |
Surgery | We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. We have a close network of mobile surgeons that perform needed treatments on your pet within our facility and under our care (i.e., anesthesia and pain control standards) at VERY reasonable prices. Our technical support staff are fully trained to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art anesthesia, pain control, and procedures for your pet. Anesthesia monitoring parameters include continuous ECG, oxygen saturation monitors, end-tidal carbon dioxide levels, and non-invasive blood pressure. Additionally, all patients have IV catheters placed and fluids administered to maintain blood pressure and immediate vein access in the unusual event of an adverse anesthesic event. |
Ultrasound | This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs. This provides highly sensitive information regarding liver, kidneys, spleen, adrenal glands, pancreas, stomach, intestines, mesenteric lymph nodes, urinary bladder, and the heart. Pregnancy exams are also available. We arrange to have mobile radiologists come into our hospital to provide this service within our care and facility at reasonable cost (range $300-400) to our clients. |
